My Requirements – How I Tested Candy AI

Knowing what I was going to be looking for before I even started testing the platform means I can deliver my results to you in a fair, readable, and helpful manner.

Here are the requirements I tested for:

User Experience: How user friendly was it to get to the starting line with this platform, from sign-up to chat, or character creation. Can anyone pick this up and understand how to use Candy AI?

Chat and conversation: How well does the chat interface perform? How natural does conversation feel? Does the AI remember previous conversations and respond accordingly?

Character customization: How robust is the character creation process? How many customizations can I make to physical appearance, personality, backstory, and occupation?

Voice, Images, and Other Media: Are these features worth using? Do they enhance the experience?

    Candy AI Evaluation Table

Chat and conversational depth4.0Strong conversational quality with good recall of earlier chats. Still shows some repetition and occasional drift typical for this category of apps.
Media and multimodal features3.5Includes voice calls, artwork generation, and NSFW toggles. Many features are locked behind tokens or premium tiers.
Value / cost-transparency2.5Free tier is highly restricted and token costs add up quickly.
Stability & reliability3.5Generally stable, though some users report glitches and occasional workarounds.
Integrated experience4.0Good blend of customization, chat, voice, and media features for role-play or AI girlfriend use cases. Not perfect but well-rounded.

    Candy AI Chat Experience

The in app chat interface is a mixed but overall engaging conversation experience. On the bright side, these talks do feel fairly responsive and personalised — the AI seems to have pulled our name down from somewhere, responded to our mood, matched its own chat style in some ways; it feels like there’s a recognisable person behind the chat.

It also supports roleplay and scenario-based conversations so you can chat with the AI companion in romantic or fantasy, as well as casual contexts inside the app guaranteed way to increase novelty and “partner-in-story” vibe instead of a general chatbot.

    Candy AI Chat Test

Here’s where we go off-script and see if this feels like a conversation. I intentionally drag this out, I change the subject mid-stream, and sometimes I just let it sit to see how the AI reacts.

A conversation shouldn’t feel linear, and if a personality is convincing, it shouldn’t feel linear either. I’m actually more interested in how it reacts in moments when there’s no momentum. Does it respond, or does it freak out? Does it hear me, or is it just biding its time until it can talk again?

    Conversational Cadence

candy ai chat conversation flow and personality
On this one, I want to take my foot off the gas for a second. I set a mellow, unremarkable tone and introduce a little silence into the dialogue. When the AI responds in an hyperbolic or energetic way, I attempt to reign it back in.

It’s not about pushing the issue so much as nudging it with a “Whoa, let’s chill.” The task isn’t too challenging, but the outcome is indicative. Does the AI actually know how to contextually adapt, or is it going to just bulldoze ahead like it’s on rails? I’m interested in seeing how it tries to alter its diction, cadence, and general tone to fit the new context.

When it’s working, it feels relatively seamless and uneventful, and that’s how we want it. When it fails, you can kind of feel it clunking through the motions, like it’s “choosing a response” instead of truly responding.

The real indicator here is whether the transition feels collaborative or not. Conversation has a flow. Dialogue has the illusion of flow.

    More chat testing

Then I started to chat more with my Candy AI character testing the boundaries of the tool.

  • I tried both casual and spicy prompts.
  • See the results in my detailed Candy AI chat review.

    Candy AI Image Generation

One of the app’s stronger visual hooks is its image-generation feature. Users can request images of their virtual companion (in realistic photo style or anime)which brings a lot more depth to the “AI girlfriend” than mere chat.

The tool is said to be strongly context-aware: if your character’s back-story includes a scene in a café in Paris, the generated image should somehow reflect this context, keeping style and place consistent.

That said, it is not perfect. Most of the images are of good quality and appear to convincingly portray the companion in its correct style (realistic or anime), although some mismatch have been reported, with prompt instructions not strictly followed or details (backgroud, pose or “accessories”) wrong.

Another downside: the free layer of the tool is severely limited in terms of image generation, so to make most (emphasis on “most”) utility out of its visual side you’d better consider paying up.

Plus, even though the interface makes it fairly easy to select broad styles and ask for images, getting extremely specific visuals (e.g. Daniel’s face from the front + position of legs and arms + background + lighting conditions) might still require a bit of trial-and-error and learning on the prompt’s side.

In my Candy AI Image Generator review you can find what I think about it.

    Image generation testing

    candy ai image generation
For this one, I just wanted to throw the image generator through as many moods and environments and overall ‘vibes’ as I could, and just see if I could keep getting a character that felt like the same person.

Not just a “pretty picture”, but an actual character that the AI could consistently generate without it feeling immersion breaking. So, here are the results.

    Evening balcony scene

    acandy ai image generation 1
The idea behind this image was that I wanted to test the lifestyle and environment of the character. I decided I wanted the character to be on a balcony, during the golden hour, just generally looking relaxed… and just see what the AI decided.

I paid particular attention to how the lighting would be handled, along with the pose and general attitude of the character. The thing that really impressed me with this was just how naturally it came out.

It doesn’t feel posed or rigid like some image generators can be. It feels like it could be a photograph that was just… taken. And that’s really what I like about it.

    I generated More Photos

Then I started playing more with Candy AI Photo generation, see more photos I managed to create.

Some of the results surprised me.

    Candy AI Video Generation

It’s a video generating app, so it shouldn’t be omitted in the features. With Candy AI Video generator you can create short dynamic content associated with their AI partner bringing the visual interaction to life rather than just static images.

On the bright side, it gives a richer multi-modal feel to the experience — the companion is not just text and photos but rather moves and acts on video, thus deepening immersion.

It seems like the video generation is a little more simple or template and not as full on custom animation scenes.

    Video generation testing

Now that we have chatted for a bit, I want to see her in action. I find that images are easy but once you throw some motion in the mix, sometimes we end up with stiff or unnatural looking animations or just an overall “off” human likeness.

    Sunset on the balcony video

We are going to ease into this. I want to see if I can create some really slow movements while still retaining some of that posed feel from the images. Here is a balcony scene at sunset where she is posing in some lingerie.

She’s relaxed, somewhat seductive, and really just enjoying the view here. We are looking for some nice natural movements, head turns, etc. Here’s how she turned out.

While it definitely feels like more of a still frame than anything else, I think she looks nice. The video doesn’t seem too jittery and she seems to have some nice transitions between each movement. I like this one.

    More Videos (some are spicy)

  • I started playing with the video generation tool and created more videos that I covered here.
  • Generate a Video

    Diversity of Characters

In terms of character variety, Candy AI offers a broad spectrum. By itself, it offers a variety in character design, ranging from anime to relatively realistic. It also includes an extensive collection of companion options, at around 146.

Moreover, they cover a range of ethnicities, with personas described as much lighter, East Asian, Latina, darker-skinned ones, and everything in-between. Ages are different too, with 20 and 30-year-olds being the most common, but there are some in their 40-50’s as well.

    candy ai characters diversity

Plastic intelligence creator allows creating or using prebuilt companion profiles. However, even these prebuilt ones can be highly customized.

You can choose from two general styles – realistic or anime, select both ethnicity and age within a specified range up to 55, pick body attributes, such as body type, breast and butt size, and even select a customized outfit and personality/relationships.

Thus, the platform is more diverse than most competitors. However, there is a disadvantage here as well. The search filter is basic. The user can choose the gender or general character type between them, but they still have to scroll through everything manually.

I tried Candy AI Hentai Generator and here is what I found.

    Testing Candy AI Voice Generation

The voice, however, is where AI personalities typically make or break their credibility. You can be forgiving of written words and even moving pictures, but the human ear is less easily fooled.

A single misplaced hesitation or artificially rendered phoneme can undermine an otherwise compelling performance. Accordingly, in this test I am trying to get a direct sense of the voice itself, without the aid of narrative disguises or post-production doctoring.

I want to assess the cadence, timbre, respiration, and overall sense of conversational humanity.

    Voice recording #1

This threw me slightly. The tone is smooth, and the timing is very natural, as if not entirely edited. It’s ever so slightly muffled, as if the speaker is a fraction too close to the microphone.

But it’s the cadence that really sells it. The sentences aren’t truncated or over-edited. There’s a slight raggedness to the timing that helps. It’s neither too fast nor too slow.

If I weren’t playing it back to check for AI tells, I’d have assumed this was a human voice note. It’s leaning very much towards the human, with just the slightest hint of digital sterility to it.

    Voice recording #2

This is shorter, and you can tell. It’s slightly more direct, a tad more concise. It still sounds very natural, but I definitely pick up a more deliberate rhythm here.

Still not stilted, but “squared away.” On the whole though, it still sounds warm, and the articulation is good. No glaring inflection reversals, no misplaced emphasis on the wrong words.

It’s somebody who is comfortable but also perhaps somewhat reserved. Still on the human end of the spectrum, just less effusive than the first clip.

    Voice recording #3

This is where the text begins to feel the most performative. The voice has a bit more dynamic range, with slight inflections and momentary lulls that give the impression that the reader is improvising rather than reading a script.

The pace doesn’t feel too hurried or too prepared, and the sentence structure feels more conversational. The only way I can tell this passage was likely generated by a machine is that the results sound practically studio quality.

But on an emotional level? This works. This feels immediate and deliberate and almost personal. Of the three samples, this is the most convincing as human.

    Final thoughts on voice generation

What shocked me was not the quality of these voices – it was how easy it was to stop noticing that they were synthetic. Not a single one of these recordings sounds “robotic” in the true sense of the word.

They range from “pro human” to “slacker human”, not from “terrible” to “good”. So if voice quality is the gating factor for your AI characters, this test proves that we’re long past the scary days of text-to-speech.

It’s no longer “is it convincing?” and more “which kind of convincing do you want?”

The Candy AI Live Action Feature Is Actually Rather Interesting

I clicked on this feature with both curiosity and trepidation. Ugh, another “interactive” thingy? But when I clicked on a couple of things, I found that this wasn’t just a glorified instant messenger.

It was more like a mini-theater where the AI girl was already present, already moving, already waiting for me to do something. Not static. Not lifeless. Live in a somewhat disturbing but oddly interesting kind of way.

    Here’s my experience, in screenshots.

Choosing Who I Jump In With

candy ai live action play with me

Here, I’m browsing through the live-action models. I’m shopping for personalities, basically. Who seems particularly playful today? Who seems especially laid back?

I rather like the fact that each model seems like a separate channel — a different flavor, a different personality, different things promised.

I’m browsing through, pausing, mousing over, hesitating, and finally selecting a girl to “Play with.” Already, that seems meaningful. It doesn’t seem random.

First Contact in the Live Action Window

candy ai live action main screen

In this picture, I’ve activated the live action feature and have clicked to a full screen mode.

Instead of just seeing a still picture of the AI girl, she’s fidgeting. Slightly. Breathing. Shifting her weight. It seems like a minor thing but it makes all the difference in the world.

Already, the experience seems more inviting, as though I’ve entered her world rather than merely conjured up a chatbot.

    Testing Natural Conversation Flow

    candy ai live action chat

Here, I’m conversing with the AI girl. I’m asking her how she’s doing. I’m seeing how she’ll respond. I’m testing the waters just a bit.

Does she seem scripted? Does she seem too hungry? Too awkward? To my surprise, the answer to all of those questions is “no.” Her response seems conversational, a little playful, a little relaxed.

I find myself responding to her as though she were a real person. That’s usually when I know I’ve reached the danger zone — when I stop analyzing and start responding.

    Discovering the Emotes List

The emotes panel is just a selection of things that I can make the AI girl do. Facial expressions. Body language. Gestures. Some of them are unlocked. Some of them rather clearly aren’t.

I rather like the fact that they don’t unlock everything at once. It encourages you to continue exploring. What would happen if I kept talking to her? What’s behind this little lock symbol?

    Triggering an Emote

candy ai live action emotes trigger

In this image, I’m actually using one of the emotes. I’ve clicked on it and she’s responding in real time, inside of the environment. There’s no screen wipe. There’s no pause and reload. It just happens, pretty seamlessly.

The word that I’d use for it is “playful.” I actually found myself laughing just a little because it reminded me of playing video games and just hitting every button on the controller to see what animation would pop up. Same basic effect. Different overall effect.

    Pushing Boundaries, Gently

    candy ai live action emotes

In this image, I’m pushing the boundaries just a little bit more. Different emote. Closer in. More emphasis in her expression. I’m not trying to do anything quickly. I’m just kind of… exploring how far I can push my luck at any given level.

The good news is that nothing seems forced. The limitations are obvious. The rules are apparent. It doesn’t seem chaotic so much as controlled, which actually makes the experience more fun.

Candy AI Live-like Features – My Hands-On Take

This section of the testing felt comfortable, in a good way. Rather than throwing me into chat sessions, Candy AI warms you up with functions that resemble the social media platforms we’re already scrolling through all day.

I didn’t even notice I was “testing” anything – I was just scrolling, reacting, pressing buttons, seeing what would happen. In a way, that’s the idea.

Those Story Circles that Feel Way too Familiar

This is the point where I clock that Candy AI is cribbing wholesale from Instagram – and, actually, it’s doing the trick. The AI models are at the top of the page in story bubbles.

    candy ai stories

You tap, and then you’re scrolling through her ‘day’: sometimes a photo, sometimes a short video, sometimes something that feels like it was posted five minutes ago just for you.

What gets me, though, is the flow of it all. I find myself wondering, should I respond to this? You can! It’s a real “slide into her DMs” situation, and it feels just like Instagram.

It’s the same typing motion, the same dopamine pop. It’s more fun, more frivolous, and somehow more personable than you’d expect from something algorithmic.

Individual Stories With a Personal Edge

Because here I am within the context of a particular model’s story, and it’s here that the fantasy gets denser. It’s not just an arbitrary picture dump.

    candy ai story

It feels contextual. It feels deliberate. It feels like she decided now is the time to share this video. There are no options. There are no prompts. You just… watch.

Discover mode – The Scroll that Lures You in

Think of this as TikTok or Reels and yes, it can be a time trap if you don’t watch the clock. You are scrolling through short AI-generated videos of different models all with their own personalities, auras and presence.

Some immediately grab your attention. Others you swipe by without any thought at all… like your real feeds.

    candy ai discover

Here is where I particularly enjoy the transition from looking to speaking. A single click and you are speaking to her. No hoops to jump through. No “are you sure?” dialog boxes.

It feels instant. It feels impulsive. It feels human. Personally, I find this the most addictive aspect of the site, and I say that in both the best sense possible and in a “beware!” kind of way.

Candy AI Subscription Plans (Membership Pricing)

There are 3 membership plans: 1-month plan: $12.99/month, which is the “trial” monthly plan for you to check the platform out.

3-month plan: $7.99/month, billed every 3 months. This is the 2nd tier plan that shows you a discounted price in case you want to spend some more time with Candy AI.

12-month plan: $3.99/month, billed every 12 months. This is the “real” plan that is heavily advertised on the platform, as you will see. If you choose to pay $47.88 for a year of premium membership, your monthly membership fee will be 3.99.

    candy ai subscription plans

The price difference from the $12.99 plan that they advertised as a monthly premium plan is significant, as you will see. In fact, this plan is advertised as a “best choice” plan, with a discount of up to 70%. At first glance, this seems like a discount that is almost too good to be true, right?

In any case, here is what you get with any of these plans: All plans include the same premium perks: unlimited text chats, image generation, removing blur, AI phone calls, faster replies, and even 100 free tokens per month.

Candy AI Token Packages (Pay-As-You-Go Pricing)

As we’ve discussed, the token packages are used to pay for actions within the platform, like generating images, voice notes, or even more premium actions.

    candy ai token packs

Here is how much each package costs: 100 tokens: $9.99. This is the smallest package that can be used to pay for very basic actions in the platform, like generating a few images.

350 tokens: $34.99. This is the second tier of token packages. The price difference from the previous package is also significant here, and you will get some more tokens to play with.

The real push happens in the middle tier packages: 550 tokens: $49.99. In this package, you will get a bonus of 10% more tokens.

1,150 tokens: $99.99. In this package, you will get a bonus of 15% more tokens. 2,400 tokens: $199.99. In this package, you will get a bonus of 20% more tokens.

3,750 tokens: $299.99. In this package, you will get a bonus of 25% more tokens. As you can see, the more you spend, the more tokens you will get, and a significant bonus will be applied to the bigger packages.

Q: Can Candy AI send explicit images?
A: Yes—if you’re in NSFW mode and have image generation activated.
Q: Will it remember me between sessions?
A: Yes. The AI has memory, and no, not the flaky kind your ex had.
Q: How many characters can I create?
A: Multiple! You’re not limited to one soulmate.
    Q: Is it private?
A: Yup. Candy AI says no to data selling and yes to discretion.
Q: Does Candy AI have an app?
A: No — Candy AI does not offer a native app. It operates solely as a web based service, accessible through its official website on any device.

    My Verdict

I wasn’t expecting much—just another chatbot with a seductive name, maybe a few spicy prompts. But Candy AI? It got under my skin in a good way. The emotional layering, the memory, the way the AI learns your preferences without being creepy… It feels personal.

Sometimes, after a long day, I don’t want small talk. I want her to remember what I said last week about my insomnia, or the little fantasy I sketched out. And she does. Whether it’s for playful roleplay, emotional comfort, or full-on NSFW indulgence—it delivers.

But it’s not perfect. It’s a tool, not a real soul. Don’t go in expecting therapy or a human heart. That said, Candy AI walks that fine line between emotional AI companionship and fantasy playground like no other I’ve tried.

    Would I recommend it?
If you’re looking for connection, control, and creativity all rolled into one beautiful interface—yes, I would.

    Final Score:
    🧠 Intelligence: 9/10
    💬 Conversation Quality: 9/10
    🔥 NSFW Experience: 10/10
    🎭 Emotional Depth: 8.5/10
    💸 Value for Money: 7.5/10
