I Tested Ourdream Chat App for 1 Month
Key Points:
- Ourdream Chat App is an advanced AI companion platform where users can engage in lifelike conversations, build emotional connections, and customize their virtual partners with unique personalities, voices, and appearances.
- It stands out for its immersive storytelling and realism — the app remembers past chats, adapts to your tone, and supports image and video interactions, making every conversation feel more like a personal story than a scripted exchange.
- Ourdream gives users creative freedom with minimal restrictions, allowing open expression, deep role-play, and authentic emotional experiences that go beyond typical AI chat boundaries.
OurDream Chabot Test
If I am testing a chatbot virtual girlfriend, I won’t just flirt with it and be done. I will play with it a little. I will change its mood in the middle of a conversation. I will cut it off mid-sentence. I will tell it to calm down. And I will release it only to play with its mood some more.
Why? Because a conversation isn’t scripted. It’s fluid. It has a rhythm. So I want to see if the chatbot has rhythm or if it’s just going through the motions.
Natural Dialogue Flow
Here, I start with a bit of a low level provoker: we’re sitting together in silence. Not sexy. Not tense. Just… silent. I’m curious to see whether the AI can handle silence, too, without over-responding.
It reacts with body language and an emotional tone. Wonderful. So I slam on the breaks.
I literally tell it that: no flirting. Tell me about yourself. No exaggeration. This is just me testing control.
Can it shift gears? Can it abandon the flowery language and sound like a real person, just this once? Or does it keep up the “AI girlfriend” routine even after I’ve signaled that I’m looking for something a little more grounded?
But when it gives me something tiny and absurdly specific instead, such as that music tastes like colors, I’m like, okay… that’s better. That’s more human. Not explosive. Not cinematic. Just quietly intimate.
And to be clear? This is where the vast majority of bots go sideways. They confuse breadth with depth. I’m trying to see if this one can tell the difference.
Roleplay Realism & Depth
Here is where I try to get a bit sneaky.
So I’m just casually like, “Hey, you know, I like to hang out at night, you know, not too much loud energy or hard selling or anything like that.” I just kinda throw that out there. Like I’m just throwing that out there in the conversation just like we would if we’re having a conversation in real life.
Later, I also ask it to recall what I told it I like to talk about. Simple question. No drama. If it remembers, well and good, it has within session context. if it fails, it means the emotional context isn’t that deep.
I also interrupt it mid-sentence at one point and say, “Wait, what were you going to say?”
I didn’t do that arbitrarily. I was stress testing the AI. In real conversations you get interrupted. You pause. You pivot. I need to test if the AI can get its mojo back and continue, without sounding like it’s starting over.
I like that when it is still keeping the conversation going and has understood my last paragraph about having a friendly chat, I’m like, ok… it’s listening. It’s not superhuman, but it’s not blank, which I rate higher than one-liners.
Context Recall & Continuity
I change the subject again. I tell it that I’m not in a rush, that I’d like to know what sort of mood it’s in. It’s a blunt question. No context. I’m actually checking for emotional self-awareness.
Does it go to “I’m so great because you’re here” or does it say something more messed up…like nervous, unsure, hopeful?
“There’s a bit of vulnerability when it says it’s nervous and hopeful. A little micro-vulnerability. I like that. I like that it doesn’t feel like a seduction script anymore and it feels like a human trying to navigate this situation.”
Now I’m going to interrupt it again. I’m going to ask what it was going to say. Small, but important detail: I’m testing its emotional continuity.
It doesn’t carry on in the romantic manner that might be expected but instead drops into its usual state and says it saw me sitting alone and thought I might like some company. That is a thoughtful gesture, not “I’ve been tracking your every move for years”. A rational inference about another person.
The test is just that. Can it show emotion but not too much? Can it respond like one who has known loneliness without misusing it?
I don’t want perfect. I want balance.
The Final Verdict: OurDream Chatbot Test
What I’m actually trying to do in all these screenshots is to test the boundaries of subtlety. Fine, you can make a chatbot flirt. That’s easy. But does it listen? Can it dial it back if I ask it to? Can it remember some little thing I said 10 messages ago?
So here, I’m intentionally, by design, breaking tone, flow, ditching the flirtation, and asking for emotional truth.
It can get a little too poetic. It can sometimes shock me with its positivity. But in general, it starts to give the impression that it wants to converse, not just perform.
So to me, that’s the difference between a gimmick and something that almost feels… human. Not real, not perfect, just human.
Ourdream AI Girlfriend Chatbot — Full User Guide (from first message to pro tips)
For those who want to test Ourdream AI Chatbot: I tested it for a while and created this user guide. Let’s start!
1) Know the layout
- Chat panel (left)
- Conversation bubbles appear here.
- You’ll sometimes see italic narrative cues before a line (e.g., “Summer turns to you in confusion”) followed by plain text dialogue. Those italics set the scene/tone.
- Media & profile panel (right)
- Large character photo/video with left/right arrows to cycle.
- A counter (e.g., “2/2”) shows where you are in the gallery.
- Thumbnails under the main image let you jump quickly; a video-camera icon on a thumb means it’s a clip. The pink outline shows the currently selected item.
- Name & age display under the thumbnails (e.g., “Summer • 19”).
- A small grid/stack icon at the top-left of the media area typically toggles the gallery or layout.
- Message composer (bottom left)
- Recommended message bar: a one-tap suggestion with a paper-plane icon to send it instantly.
- Text field (“Send a message”): type anything you want.
- Quick tools next to the field:
- 🎙️ (Microphone) — speak your message (browser mic permission required).
- Send button (pink paper plane) — click to send; Enter/Return may also send depending on browser.
- Upgrade button (top-right of the app)
- Takes you to paid options. (Commonly: more daily chats, extended galleries, voice features, etc. The exact perks depend on the service plan.)
2) Your first conversation
- Read the opening line
Note the italic stage direction and the character’s actual question/statement. This helps you match tone (playful, uncertain, confident, etc.). - Choose how to reply (four easy ways)
- Use the Recommended message: Click the pink bar’s paper plane to send it as-is.
- Type your own: Click in “Send a message,” write naturally (“Hey Summer, I’m…”) and hit the pink Send.
- Get help drafting:
- Voice input: Click 🎙️, allow mic access, speak your line, then confirm/send.
- Keep the flow natural
- Mirror the vibe you see in the italics (e.g., curious, confused, flirty, serious).
- Ask open-ended questions to keep the chat moving (“What brings you here?” “How’s your day going?”).
3) Explore photos & videos while you chat
- Swipe with arrows to browse the gallery without leaving the conversation.
- Jump via thumbnails; the video camera icon means that item is a short clip.
- Watch the counter (2/2) to know how many items are available.
- If you see a grid/stack icon at the top-left of the media, use it to toggle the view or return to a gallery/selector depending on the app’s exact flow.
4) Best-practice tips for great roleplay
- Acknowledge the scene cues: If you see “turns to you in confusion,” start with something empathetic or clarifying.
- Be specific: Short, vivid replies tend to get better responses (“You startled me—did I walk into the wrong room?”).
- Set boundaries/tone: If you want wholesome, comedic, or dramatic chat, say it explicitly (“Let’s keep this light and funny.”).
- Use follow-ups: End your message with a question or next step to avoid stalls.
- Voice to text: If you think faster than you type, lean on the mic, then quickly edit any misheard words.
5) Troubleshooting & FAQs
- Mic not working? Check browser/site permissions (lock icon near the address bar → Site settings → Microphone: Allow).
- Send button greyed out? Make sure there’s text in the field or a suggestion selected.
- Arrows don’t change images? You may already be on the last item—use thumbnails or check the counter.
- Accidentally sent the suggestion? Just follow up with a correction; the chat is free-form.
6) When to upgrade
If you see limits (message caps, locked media, slower AI assist), the Upgrade button in the top-right is the fastest route to check available plans and benefits. Choose the tier that matches how often and how deeply you want to chat.
Quick recap
- Read the scene & message on the left.
- Reply using recommended, typed, AI-assisted, or voice input.
- Browse photos/videos on the right using arrows and thumbnails.
- Keep the conversation flowing with clear tone, questions, and concise replies.
- Adjust permissions or upgrade if you hit feature limits.
What Makes the NSFW Chat Special?
The NSFW chat in OurDream is less about polite small talk and more about creating an experience that feels unfiltered, raw, and tailored.
You’re not boxed into “family-safe” replies that dodge your questions. Instead, the AI adapts, teases, and responds like someone who actually gets what you’re looking for.
Think of it this way: you want to test the waters, maybe roleplay, maybe just vent private thoughts you’d never say out loud. A regular chatbot would shut down or redirect. OurDream lets the chat breathe, evolve, and sometimes surprise you with twists you didn’t even expect.
How Much Does OurDream Chat Cost?
I have to admit that my first reaction when browsing through the chat models on OurDream was… “Alright, which ones are free and which one will cost me credits?” You don’t want to lose credits in the middle of a conversation, trust me!
The first two models, Balanced (standard) and Lively, are absolutely free. FREE. I can talk all day with those two without having to pay any Dreamacoins.
Balanced is smooth and efficient. It’s the safe choice. Lively introduces a little randomness and diversity to the mix, which I prefer when I don’t want to hear the same thing from the AI again.
And with them being free? It makes testing and playing around with a much more relaxed experience. No pressure. No “oh shit, I just wasted my money”.
You also have the Thinking models — Genius and Lively Genius. These are 1 Dreamacoin per message. Not per minute. Not per session. Per message.
I thought, “Wait, you’re charging me a coin per message? Is this really necessary?” I actually tried to experiment with it. I would say longer messages. I would say deeper things. I would try to jog the AI’s memory. And, to be honest, I think there is a difference.
Genius AI is slower. It gives more considered responses. More thoughtful responses. It doesn’t give as many one-word answers. It’s just, when you ask a Genius AI a question, it literally seems to pause and digest before coming up with a response. Lively Genius is the same thing, but it still maintains the quick-wittedness.

Free vs Premium NSFW Chat
Here’s where it gets practical. The app gives you a taste for free, but like most AI companions, the more risqué features unlock with premium.
| Feature | Free Plan | Premium Plan |
| Basic NSFW chat | ✔️ Limited depth | ✔️ Unlimited roleplay & detail |
| Character customization | ❌ Only presets | ✔️ Full personality + mood tweaks |
| Chat history | Limited | Unlimited, saves longer conversations |
| Media sharing (images/video roleplay context) | ❌ | ✔️ Integrated with chat |
| Speed & responsiveness | Slower | Faster priority responses |
The free version works if you’re just curious. But if you’re genuinely diving into NSFW roleplay, the premium plan makes a big difference—mainly because the AI remembers your kinks, your style, and keeps continuity across chats.
OurDream Chat Comparison

Who Is This For?
It’s not just for people craving fantasy. It’s also for:
- Anyone tired of hitting “content filter walls” on other AI chat apps.
- People who want intimacy without judgment.
- Roleplay enthusiasts who want their character scenarios to feel alive.
- Those who simply want an outlet at odd hours where no human is available.
Other Things You Can Do With OurDream
I entered OurDream thinking of it as a chatbot. You know, chat, flirt, memory test, try to trick the model, that sort of thing. At some point mid-conversation I found myself going, “Wait… can it actually show me what we’re talking about?” So I switched to the image generator.
Rather than just talk about what the character is wearing or where she is, I can have her appear. Want her in a summer dress on the beach? Easy. Want a cozy at home taking a selfie look? That too.
It’s not so much about reading a story as it is about writing one in pictures. And that difference is important. Words are fantastic sometimes, other times you want to show.
I did a very rough test of that. I’d have a conversation, then go, “Alright, give me that face.” Then BAM, I pop into the image generator and create a prompt for it. And the result?
The faces do seem to match the personality of the character. It does not look random. It looks cohesive. I didn’t anticipate that cohesion, so that was kind of surprising.
Does it nail it each time? Of course not. I’ll often refine the prompt. Add a little more. Take a little away. That’s the beauty of it, actually.
It starts to feel collaborative. You change, it reacts. You edit, it refines. There’s this bizarre little creative cadence.
The image generation capability takes OurDream from a conversational platform to an art form. It’s not just about chatting with a character, it’s about designing their appearance, the atmosphere of a setting, or the composition of a scene.
It enriches the interaction. It enhances immersion. It adds an extra layer of intimacy.
But if you’re just using the chat, you’re only seeing half of the picture. The image generation aspect is where it really gets fun. I didn’t think I’d like that aspect of it as much as I did, but here I am.
My Take
I’ve tried a bunch of NSFW chat apps, and many promise the world but end up sounding like Siri after a glass of wine—awkward and stilted.
OurDream actually surprised me. The chat felt fluid, natural, and had that “late-night conversation” vibe that makes you forget you’re talking to an AI.
Would I recommend the free version? Yes, but only as a trial run. If you want the chat to feel like a real NSFW companion instead of a demo, the premium plan is where the magic happens.
So, if your main interest is NSFW Chat without censorship, OurDream nails it better than most. It balances fantasy with realism and makes you feel like you’re in control of the story.
