One of the most significant AI-related developments is the introduction of Magic Design, which uses generative AI to enable users to create custom templates. By simply uploading images and selecting a style, users can now generate a variety of personalized templates.

In addition, Magic Edit allows users to replace or add elements in an image using a text prompt. With a simple brush of the element they want to replace, users can describe the element they are looking to use and let the AI do the rest.

Canva has also introduced Magic Eraser, an AI-powered tool that removes unwanted details from images quickly and easily. This tool helps users create professional-looking photos without requiring advanced editing skills, resulting in clean and distraction-free graphics.

Canva is not just limited to image editing; the platform has also added AI-powered capabilities to help create presentations with ease. The AI-driven Magic Design generates slides with outlines and content, reducing the time spent on formatting and providing a more engaging final result.

Moreover, the Beat Sync feature automatically synchronizes video footage to a selected soundtrack, eliminating the need for manual editing to achieve perfect harmony between visuals and music. Canva’s Translate tool allows users to convert their text into over 100 different languages with just a click, expanding their audience reach.

Finally, Canva’s AI-powered copywriting assistant, Magic Write, is now available across all of Canva’s Visual Suite. It has expanded its accessibility to more than 18 different languages, enabling creatives to use the tool in presentations, social media, whiteboards, and more.

Canva has already made it possible for users to generate text and images with AI. With Canva’s Text to Image feature, users have generated over 60 million images over the past four months. The company has increased the resolution of images generated by Text to Image by 16x and reduced the speed of generation by 68%.

Large organizations such as FedEx, Starbucks, and Zoom have adopted Canva’s all-in-one design platform to enhance their visual communication needs at scale. Canva has also announced new brand management tools targeting this user base.

Canva’s impact within the design world cannot be denied, with over $1.4 billion in annualized revenue and 125 million monthly users. Since the launch of Canva’s Visual Worksuite in September 2022, the platform has gained more than 40 million users, contributing to a total of over fifteen billion designs created so far.

The new features will be showcased live at the Canva Create event, which can be viewed online. Follow Canva on LinkedIn to stay updated with the latest developments.
